Launch of the Don Mueang-Pattaya shuttle

Don Mueang Airport

Don Mueang Airport now offers a 350 baht bus service each way from the airport to Pattaya.

The airport will also consider operating new routes if the service proves popular, said Wg Cdr Ronnakorn Chalermsanyakorn, deputy director of operations at Don Mueang International Airport.

The airport launched the shuttle service on August 15. During the trial period, buses are scheduled for two round trips, two from Don Mueang to Pattaya at 10:30 a.m. and 3 p.m. and two from Pattaya to Don Mueang at 6 a.m. and 3 p.m.

However, passenger numbers are currently low as most people are unaware of the service, he said.

Wg Cdr Ronnakorn said the airport handled 40,000 to 50,000 passengers a day and they mostly head to the city center by public transport.

However, he said passenger numbers would increase during peak season from October.

Bus tickets are available at and Bell Travel Service office at Don Mueang International Airport on the first floor of Gate 10, Domestic Terminal.

Wg Cdr Ronnakorn said that according to a poll, Pattaya was voted the most popular destination by passengers at Don Mueang International Airport.
